Important Information for Guest Memberships.
Short-term Guest memberships let you play with the Club for a limited period:- Guest (37 days) — $10- Guest (65 days) — $15 (Pickleball Canada and Pickleball BC fees are additional and paid together with your guest fee in one transaction. The minimum age to join is 16.)
Before you join, please note:- You must have experience playing pickleball and know the rules — the Club doesn't provide instruction during play sessions.- Protective eyewear is mandatory for all Club play sessions.
JOINING AS A GUEST TAKES THREE STEPS — PLEASE DO THEM IN ORDER
Step 1 — Create your free DUPR account. DUPR is the rating system every NPC member uses, and it's free. Create your account and note your DUPR ID — you'll need it in Step 3. Create your DUPR account: https://dashboard.dupr.com/signup (DUPR is free — do not sign up for the paid "DUPR+.")
Step 2 — Register and pay at Pickleball Canada. This is where you pay — one transaction covering your Pickleball Canada, Pickleball BC, and NPC guest membership (have a Visa or Mastercard ready). Go to our club page on the Pickleball Canada website and select the Guest pass you want (37 or 65 days). Already a Pickleball Canada member through another club? You only need one Pickleball Canada membership, no matter how many clubs you belong to. If you're already a PCO member through another club, you don't pay the Pickleball Canada portion again — just associate the Nanaimo Pickleball Club with your existing membership when you register and pay only the NPC guest portion.
Step 3 — Set up your profile in CourtReserve. After you've paid, set up your profile in CourtReserve, our court-booking system. Create your account, select the Guest membership that matches what you purchased — it will show as $0.00 because you've already paid at Pickleball Canada — then enter your DUPR ID, answer the questionnaire, and sign the waivers. Your guest membership isn't complete, and you can't book sessions, until you finish this step. What happens next. When you join as a guest you'll be asked to self-assess your rating — please give your best estimate. A member of our Executive will review and approve you, and Club members may adjust your rating based on your on-court play. Questions? Contact us at nanaimopickleball@gmail.com
