Putting the FUN in FUNdraiser? Want to play PB with your friends and support a great BC-wide fundraiser at the same time? Join many other BC Pickleball clubs in support of the Pacific Assistance Dog Society (PADS) on April 20th, at Oliver Woods Community Center.
What is PADS? PADS provides life changing service for people with disabilities or hearing loss or veterans and first responders with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In community settings, they place Accredited Facility Dogs (AFDs) with professionals in victim services, health care, counselling, and education sectors to support vulnerable children and adults. The PADS Very Important Pet (VIP) program supports children and adults with disabilities not requiring full public access.
What is Paddles for PADS? Our club has booked both Gyms at Oliver Woods from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday April 20th to support this BC wide fundraiser. We hope to have representatives from PADS throughout the day so that you can meet some of their amazing dogs and learn more about the program and get to play some pickleball with your friends while supporting a worthy fundraiser.
Registration Online of $5.50 will be prepaid via credit card. As this is a fundraiser, you will have the option to make a tax deductible donation to this wonderful cause when you register. A waiver will also be required to be acknowledged at registration time. Cash donations will also be accepted at the event. Wearing Protective Eyewear is mandatory.
Who can play? All NPC members and their guests can sign up for 2 1/2 hour time slots to play in designated levels, gender based or/and open play with your friends of all levels.. A max 24 players per gym will be allowed during each time slot. Registration links will be emailed to you April 13th at ~8:00 am with links to the individual events. This is a BC wide event, to support an amazing service that is provided for our community. If you would like to invite a friend who is not a member of NPC, please forward this email which contains links to the registration form.
The links will be active on April 13th at 8:00 am. You are welcome to sign up for more than one event if space is available. So gather a group of friends and family, sign up for this fun day, and show our community what the NPC is all about!
